LAKE ANNA WINERY

At Lake Anna Winery, our philosophy is simple. We strive to create a wide palette of diverse wines to accommodate an equally wide range of diverse palates and settings. Our trophy case got a little more crowded this year after the 15th Annual State Fair of Virginia Wine Competition. Our Barrel Select Chardonnay 2005 won the coveted Best In Show award. Several of our wines won gold and silver medals while our labels were awarded 1st place for Overall Excellence and Best Shelf Appeal. We invite you to delve into our cellar, try our offerings and explore the world through our wine-colored glasses.

DAVIS VALLEY WINERY  

Davis Valley Winery and Vineyard is Smyth County’s first farm winery, located along America’s favorite scenic road, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and we’re right on the path to Virginia’s Crooked Road. Our 45 acres of grapes are nestled on a beautiful 363 acre estate in the mountains of Southwestern Virginia, just minutes off Interstate 81 at Exit 54. Come sample our wines from our 100-year old oak antique bar, tour the winery, browse the gift shop, or just sit on the veranda and enjoy the spectacular panoramic vistas from our scenic hilltop setting.

TARARA WINERY

Sitting on the bluffs of the Potomac River, Tarara Winery has the perfect backdrop for enjoying world class wines. Our wines are a true reflection of this very special place with a relaxed, classic beauty that is timeless. The special climate and soils of our vineyard help create grapes with intense flavors, soft firm tannins and good acid balance. Each year small lots of handcrafted wines of the finest varietals, with an emphasis on the Bordeaux classics, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, are artistically crafted to showcase their true nature and are always subtle and well structured….come for a day for the experience of a lifetime.

DELFOSSE VINEYARDS

DelFosse Vineyards & Winery is one of the newest wineries in Virginia, established in 2000 in the Monticello wine region. The European-style terraced terrain of the DelFosse provides unique wine-growing conditions. We specialize in high end premium varietal wines and currently have ten varietals planted: Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Chambourcin.

CHATEAU MORRISETTE

Château Morrisette is one of the oldest and largest wineries in Virginia. Located in a spectacular natural setting in rural southwestern Virginia, our winery production building and visitor center is considered the largest salvaged timber-frame building in the United States. From light-bodied Rieslings and buttery Chardonnays, to the bright fruit of our Chambourcin and rich, full-bodied Cabernets, our wine making team makes over 18 different award-winning wines.  Our location on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway has introduced thousands of visitors to Virginia wines.

KLUGE ESTATE WINERY

Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyard is tucked into the edge of the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains, in Charlottesville, Virginia. The 2,000-acre estate is just miles from the birthplace of American viticulture, Thomas Jefferson's famed Monticello. The “Monticello Appellation” is gaining recognition for producing serious wines and Kluge Estate is at the forefront. Combining meticulous winemaking practices with a genuine love of the land and support for the Virginia wine community, Kluge Estate is driving the region to fulfill its potential to create world-class wines.

FIRST COLONY WINERY

Rolling fields, shaded patios, a spacious tasting room, award winning wines and friendly staff are just a few of the offerings awaiting visitors to First Colony Winery. Located in Albemarle County, just 10 miles from Charlottesville, VA, First Colony’s wine making facilities and classically rustic event space have hosted wine novices and connoisseurs, as well as groups for weddings and parties of most any size. At First Colony Winery we host several events from Chili Cook offs to pig roasts. Come by for a tasting, or join us for one of our events and enjoy a day in the country on our 60+ acre farm.

TOMAHAWK MILL VINEYARD

The history of Tomahawk Mill Vineyard and Winery takes you back in time to  Confederate veteran James Anderson, who constructed a water-powered grist mill on Tomahawk Creek and began grinding for local farmers in 1888. The mill continued operation until 1988, when it was closed to plant a vineyard, starting with Chardonnay and Concord varieties. Pinot Noir, Johannesburg Riesling, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes followed, and the first Chardonnay vintage was produced in 1990. We are very proud of our wines, especially the Tobacco Road Blues, Vidal Blanc and the Earl of Chatham Mead.

VAULT FIELD VINEYARDS

Vault Field Vineyards is a leading contender for the title of Virginia's newest winery. The tasting room opened September 7th and has already become a favorite destination among the boutique winery-hopping set. First vintage wines from this vineyard have already won Silver and Bronze medals in the Virginia Governors Cup competition, a great indicator that Vault Field is on the right track for producing top quality wines. Varietals include Estate Bottled Reserve Red - a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, Chardonnay, Rose', Conundrum - a fabulous blend of several whites, and Vidal Blanc, released just in time for the holidays.

ROCKBRIDGE VINEYARD

Do you believe in destiny? As a boy in 1963 in his hometown of Williamsburg, Shepherd Rouse found a round green glass bottle seal with the date 1718 embossed on it. Ten years later on a semester abroad in Germany as a Washington and Lee University geology student, Rouse was intrigued by the vineyards, and so began a lifetime quest to produce fine wine in Virginia. One glance at the Rockbridge Vineyards wine list and you know he has certainly done it! Rockbridge wines are dressed with an impressive list of Gold, Silver & Bronze.

HORTON VINEYARDS

Horton Vineyards, located in Orange County, Virginia, is one of the most innovative wineries in the country. Utilizing the latest viticultural techniques, Horton is charting a new generation of wines made from Viognier, the premier grape of France’s Rhone Valley, and other premium varieties from southern France, Portugal, Spain, Russia/Georgia, and Italy. Horton’s portfolio includes several nationally acclaimed wines, and has over 40 wines to sample and purchase, including some very interesting varietals, fruit wines, sparkling wines and ports.

JAMES RIVER CELLARS

James River Cellars is located just 10 miles North of Richmond or just 10 miles South of Kings Dominion, right off I-95. This family owned winery offers over 15 varieties of award winning wines from Virginia Grown Grapes. Join us for special events at the winery such as our Friday’s on the Patio with live local music, small wine festivals throughout the year or plan your own private event at the winery, Browse in our gift shop, bring a picnic or purchase some cheese and wine and relax on the patio or balcony.

VINO CURIOSO

Vino Curioso™ wines are hand crafted in Virginia with smooth, full-bodied, richly textured, exceedingly aromatic satisfaction in mind.  We take our time with our wines.  Our limited production, less than 1000 cases per year, affords us the ability to gently create a piece of history…Ours and Yours.  You can’t visit our winery yet but you will be able to in the future.  We spend our time perfecting the art of winemaking and many times this is best done in solitude.  When we’re ready…You’ll be the first to know.

BELLE MOUNT VINEYARDS

At Belle Mount Vineyards we grow many European grape varieties, a few hybrids and of course the historic American grape Norton, originally discovered in Richmond. Chardonnay, Merlot and Cab Franc are our most popular fine wines. We are located near Warsaw on Virginia’s Northern Neck. From our vineyards you can see the Rappahannock River and launch a canoe into Cat Point Creek.  If you enjoy Bald Eagle watching and leisurely trips to pristine freshwater wetlands then you will love it here. Plan a retreat or romantic getaway to our cabins  and enjoy Virginia Wine Country along the Northern Neck Wine Trail.

ATHENA VINEYARDS

Overlooking the Great Wicomico River, Athena Vineyards & Winery is located in Northumberland County. You are invited to join us to taste our wines and enjoy our park-like setting of hills and ponds and scenic overlooks.

MIRACLE VALLEY VINEYARD

Miracle Valley Vineyard is a new  addition to Virginia's Wine Country, located on the gentle slopes of Little Cobbler Mountain in Delaplane, VA. The winery overlooks long vineyard vistas, an old farm house, an old barn, and a beautiful pond nestled in a private valley. Grape varieties include Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier and Cabernet Franc. Located on 50 acres of spectacular Fauquier County farm land, Miracle Valley Vineyard and Winery is an inviting place to spend an afternoon or have an event.

BREAUX VINEYARDS

At Breaux Vineyards, we are proud to craft our estate grown, hand-harvested grapes into internationally acclaimed award-winning wines to please every palate. Located only an hour from metro D.C., our 400 acre estate has over 87 acres planted in seventeen different grape varieties. Our vineyard plantings extend up the Short Hill Mountain just a short distance from historic Harpers Ferry WV, and long vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains can be enjoyed from our tasting room and landscaped terraces.

WHITE FENCES VINEYARD

High away in the blackness of the sky over Irvington, Virginia, the meteors often come in showers, slicing the sky by the hundreds or even thousands like the fins of silver fish around a boat at night. Beneath this excess of magic and motion lies the small vineyard called White Fences. While every wine has the character of the land in its soul, we call our wines Meteor because of the unique relationship between land and sky at White Fences. We have only six acres in the vineyard. And we make only a few  handcrafted wines. But there is not a bottle of wine we create that does not have in its character that certain sense of itself and where it comes from.

NORTH MOUNTAIN VINEYARD

Follow romantic and historic country roads into the Northern Shenandoah Valley to discover an enchanting winery nestled in a beautiful vineyard! North Mountain Vineyards welcomes you to the heartwarming experience of lush, fruity, and well balanced Shenandoah Valley wines.  Our distinctive winery building was modeled after a European-style farmhouse and constructed in 1982. The below-ground cellar produces some 3,000 cases of premium table wine per year. We have something for everyone to enjoy, so come on over and have a taste!

CHRYSALIS VINEYARDS

Chrysalis Vineyards is the closest vineyard and winery to Washington DC.  The vineyard estate, near Middleburg, gently rolls across 209 acres between the Bull Run Mountains to the east and the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west. HILLTOP BERRY FARM & WINERY

Nestled at the foot of Wintergreen Resort and atop the rolling hills of the Rockfish Valley, sits Hill Top Berry Farm & Winery. Originally opened as a pick-your-own blackberry farm, the family owned and operated business expanded into a winery in the late 1990's. Founders, Marlyn and Sue Allen, were at the forefront of Virginia's budding wine industry with the introduction of specialty fruit wines. Hill Top Berry Farm and Winery produces a unique experience for fruit lovers and historians alike. More than a dozen "True to the Fruit" Virginia wines and historical honey meads adorn the shelves of this cozy, family winery.

COOPER VINEYARDS

At Cooper, the quest to produce excellent wines  from the vines of our vineyard drives our decisions. We believe that a small winery, with proper effort and diligence can make wines of distinction. We are a specialty producer of Norton and Viognier. Come experience our award-winning Rhadsody, our 100% Virginia Wines and the adventure of creating a vineyard and winery. You’ll enjoy our unique tasting room, which is located inside the winery itself.  

BURNLEY VINEYARDS

Burnley Vineyards is one of the oldest vineyards in the Monticello Witicultural area. Burnley is the epitome of a family operation. We produce 5,000 cases a year from vinifera and french hybrid grapes. Our 30 acres of vineyards are planted in Chardonnay, Caberet Sauvignon, Orange Muscat, Muscat Blanc, Chambourcin, Vidal and even a little of the elusive Norton, an American hybrid that was first introduced on 1835.

BRIGHT MEADOWS FARM

Bright Meadows Farm is nestled among the rolling hills of historic Halifax County on the site of a 19th century tobacco plantation. The unique ambience of our winery, housed in a beautifully restored 115 year old barn, beckons with country wines and true southern hospitality. Bring your picnic and plan to while away the day on our scenic 50 acre farm where the pace is slow and relaxing. Our enticing walking paths and gorgeous picnic area provide the perfect spot to hide for awhile! Located south of Lynchburg & north of South Boston in the village of Nathalie, our varietals include our own Bright Meadows colonial style Blackberry Wine and other American Wines from American Vines.

REBEC VINEYARDS

If you want to find peace and hospitality in the Blue Ridge Mountains, get in your car and travel south on Route 29 to Amherst County - Rebec Vineyards is the spot for you! We opened to the public in 1987. Since then our selection has grown to 13 wines, including Viognier, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and our special blends - Autumn Glow and Sweet Sofia. What sets Rebec apart from the rest is the tender loving care each bottle receives. Our wine maker croons to the wine as he bottles. The secret is not the tonality of his singing (just ask his assistant) but in the songs themselves, which are Bulgarian folk tunes!

POTOMAC POINT WINERY

Potomac Point Winery is one of Virginia’s new destinations. This grand Meditteranean–style estate, located in Stafford County, has debuted nine distinctive varietals: Abbinato - A Chianti style Italian blend, Cabernet Franc,  La Belle Vie, Norton (2006) - Virginia' s own native varietal,  Richland Reserve (2005) - a blend of Bordeaux varietals, Rabelos Virginia Dessert Wine, Late Harvest Vidal Blanc Dessert Wine, Richland Reserve Viognier, and our favorite - Pocahontas Reserve Norton (2005) - Packaged in a beautiful stoneware

VALHALLA VINEYARDS

Valhalla Vineyards is located in Roanoke. We are on a 2000 foot mountain with incredible views of the Roanoke Valley and beyond. We are an estate winery: we never buy fruit from others. We try to grow  the best grapes nature will give us and then stand back as nature, with a little help, ferments those grapes into fine wines. Our Cabernet and 'valkyrie' bordeaux blend spend 40 months  in the barrel before bottling and then over a year in bottles before release. This allows the tannins to mellow and produce outstanding big red wines for your pleasure.

PEAKS OF OTTER WINERY

There's gold in the hills of Bedford County! According to the Beale treasure legend, there is about 25 million dollars worth of gold, silver and jewels buried somewhere between Blue Ridge, Virginia  and the famous Peaks of Otter mountains. The treasure was buried between 1819 and 1821 by Thomas J. Beale. The real “gold” found in Bedford County is the combination of wonderful people, the beautiful landscape, and majestic views. Johnson Orchard was established in 1918 and Peaks of Otter Winery was established in 1996 as Bedford’s first winery. Now the fifth generation is working and producing fruit wines on the farm.
